Rules & Regulations

Official TPL rules for The Premier League competitive play.

This page summarizes the current rules. For the complete and most up-to-date version, consult the official rulebook in our Discord. By participating in any TPL match, players and teams agree to abide by all rules listed here and ongoing rulings by the admin council.

Eligibility

•All players must be registered through the TPL platform and linked to a verified Discord account.
•Players must have an active platform ID (Steam, Epic, or Console gamertag).
•No active VAC or game ban within the last 2 years.
•Steam account must be at least 90 days old at the time of registration.
•Players may only be rostered on one team per division per season.

Team Roster

•Division I & II: 60+ player roster, 48 players per match.
•Division III & IV: 46+ player roster, 36 players per match.
•Each team must have a designated Captain and Deputy.
•Teams may register 2-3 Team Representatives (4 for alliance teams).
•Roster additions after Week 4 of the regular season are not permitted.
•Free agent system for teams with open spots to add you to the roster.
•Teams must have rosters submitted Thursday before match weekend. Dropouts can be swapped but minimum roster movement will be allowed once Thursday passes.

Match Conduct

•Designated Artillery Player (DAP) — One Artillery rule strictly enforced.
•Protected nodes: nodes placed in HQ columns are protected and may not be destroyed.
•No use of smoke filter mods or admin camera during matches.
•No account sharing under any circumstances.

Match Format

•Coin flip determines first map ban. Teams then alternate banning maps and factions.
•Custom midpoints are voted on weekly by team representatives.
•Match scoring: 1 point per capture held + 1 point minimum for participation in a 5-0 loss.
•Tiebreakers (in order): head-to-head record, total capture differential, midpoint control time.
•Match results must be reported via the TPL bot within 24 hours.

Suspicious Player Reports

•SPRs must be submitted within 48 hours of match end by a team Captain, Deputy, or Representative.
•Reports must include a detailed description and supporting evidence (clip, screenshot, log).
•POV and/or MOSS evaluation may be requested by league admins as part of review.
•Confirmed cases of cheating result in immediate permanent ban.
•Frivolous or repeated false reports may result in penalties against the submitting team.

Penalties & Appeals

•Infractions are issued by league admins and follow a progressive punishment system.
•Severities range from warnings to point deductions, ban-game suspensions, and permanent bans.
•Forfeits result in a 5-0 loss for the offending team plus applicable point deductions.
•Appeals must be submitted within 7 days of the ruling via the official appeals process.
•Appeal decisions by the league admin council are final.
